Syrah is the backbone of the wine setting the stage for a fruit forward style and a full body. Sweet and bright red fruit flavours of Grenache blend with the rustic and lively flavours of the Mourvédre. The Zinfandel adds its signature zing to round out the blend and Petite Syrah contributes to the deep colour. This intensely rich wine is deep purple in colour and radiates aromas of black fruit, cherry and spicy black pepper. On the palate , loads of vanilla, caramel and blackcurrant gracefully evolve into soft supple tannins and a signature zing that balances the wine.
Hope Family has been making wine in California, USA, for more than 30 years. They have been farming in Paso Robles and when they arrived, the region was barely discovered. They started planting grapes and apples. At that time, the oak studding terrain was still undiscovered, and no one knew that one day the area would hold viticultural terroir of great significance in one of the best winegrowing regions for red wine in central coast California.
Today, the apple orchards are no more and, in their place, Hope Family wines cultivate vineyards of different varieties that are best suited to the region. "Troublemaker is a fun drinking wine, so we decided to have some fun with the label too. Our goal is to offer a wine in a package that speaks to the inner-Troublemaker in all of us."
Hope Family Wines is a family-owned and operated winery in Paso Robles, California, encompassing five brands: Liberty School, Treana, Candor, Austin Hope and Troublemaker wines. The Hope family arrived in Paso Robles in 1978 and began planting wine grapes. Over time it became clear to the Hopes that Paso Robles was capable of producing world-class wines. They were among a handful of pioneering families who helped to shape and gain recognition for this distinctive winegrowing region. After growing grapes and developing vineyards throughout the eighties and early nineties, they began producing estate wines under the Hope Farms label. The Hopes established Treana Winery in 1996, to focus on regional blends from Paso Robles and the Central Coast. This same year, they incorporated Liberty School into their winery.
